HAED Progress So-So, Karma Progress Pretty Good!

I really am turning into Sae. ;) Or I'm picking up all her bad habits anyway. :p

Though, I am doing one good thing, and that is being a fundraiser for the Good Friday Appeal, which helps collect funds for Victoria's Royal Childen's Hospital. And that's one thing that's been taking up quite a fair bit of my time. Besides being a fundraiser, I'm also going to be running in the Run for the Kids event, which is the main fundraising event for the Appeal. It will be my longest distance ever at 14.6km, so I want to train lots for that so I don't end up walking the event or worse, passing out!

Please help support me in raising funds for the kids: http://www.everydayhero.com.au/eelengchang
Click on the Donate Now button and all proceeds will go straight to the Good Friday Appeal, nothing dodgy on my end is possible! :)

Back in HAED land, I've managed to keep up to 1000 stitches a week, but only because I'm skipping around 4 pages! My progress pic is so hole-y:

I did however finish the last 9 stitches on one of the side pages so yeay!

I wonder if I'll go back to just 1 page at a time...

Competition Rules

Competition Begins: 1st May 2008
Competition Ends: Chinese New Year 2013

Goal: Complete a HAED design by the time allotted.

Designs chosen are to be of approximately the same sizes. Contestants are free to change their design half way, however it must also be of the similar size to the original design chosen.

Each month, each contestant will deposit USD$20 into a separate bank account.

Every fortnight, each contestant has to update this blog with updated progress pictures.

Prize Money:

If only one contestant completes her design by the deadline, she gets the total amount of money saved by both contestants.

If neither designs are complete, the entire sum of money is to be donated to a charity that is agreed upon by both contestants.

If both complete it on time, the money is divided in the following manner:

60% of the total goes to the contestant who completes* her design first within the deadline.

40% of the total goes to the contestant who completes* her design last within the deadline.

* For EeL, completion means full completion. For Sae, completion for the 60% winner total is 210,400 stitches, with the remainder stitches to be completed by the deadline.
